| The Sitges International Theatre
Festival is back once again with the desire to reaffirm
it’s creative spirit. As a result of the impression
they have made throughout their trajectory they have
become an important meeting point in the world of theatre
in Catalonia with an international scope. At the same
time it has become an excellent way in wich to see
what’s happening in theatre. The Sitges Festival is
above all innovative, experimental and it projects itself
as a splendid platform to learn about the latest trends
in the theatrical arts. During nine intense days, a large number of productions from all origins and of great quality will fill the different stages in Sitges. The theatre which is top of the bill, but also music and dance will allow the audience to enjoy what is an intense week of creativity. This year, the S.I.T. has realised their aim as in previous years: international shows which express a special creative sensitivity, with artists from all over Europe. The important support from the Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona Council, The Ministry for Culture and Sitges Town Hall, as well as that from the companies which sponsor the event, demonstrate the influence and impact that the Sitges International Theatre Festival has. Once more the residents of Sitges welcome with open arms the most innovative in current theatre, music and dance with an exceptional line up that mixes spontaneity, professionalism and creativity.
